Jen Marlowe & Sami Al Jundi
Jen Marlowe is a Seattle-based award-winning author/documentary filmmaker/playwright and human rights activist. Jen lived and worked in Jerusalem from 2000-2004, using some of these techniques to engage in dialogue-based conflict resolution with Palestinian and Israeli teenagers.
Sami Al Jundi's life story is told jointly by himself and Jen Marlowe in his memoir The Hour of Sunlight: One Palestinian's Journey From Prisoner to Peacemaker. The book details his ten years as a Palestinian political prisoner in Israeli prisons, emerging with a strong belief in nonviolence and the possibility of Israelis and Palestinians working together to end the occupation and transform their futures. Sami is a poet, and lives in the Old City of Jerusalem with his wife and four children.
