Dignity: An anthology

Dignity: An Anthology is a community book of resistance conceived and assembled by Muslim Social Justice Initiative (MSJI) in response to the genocide in Gaza. Bringing together writing by People of Colour in the UK, it centres Palestine as the clearest exposure of the racial and imperial order shaping our world.

The collection traces how Gaza’s destruction is bound to wider structures of racism, war, borders, incarceration and dispossession, while insisting on Palestine as a site of political clarity and collective responsibility. Opening with writing by Palestinian doctor Ali Tahrawi from Gaza, the anthology holds grief, rage, memory, steadfastness and radical love.

As both archive and intervention, Dignity asks what it means to remain acting with dignity in our current moment.
