Rashid Khalidi

Rashid Khalidi is an historian of the Middle East, the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University and Director of the Middle East Institute of Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs. Much of his work focuses on identities within the Middle East and the powers that influenced them. He is author of several academic works; he is co-editor of The Origins of Arab Nationalism.
