Fatima Mansour

Fatima V. Mansour grew up on the southwest side of Chicago. The daughter of a Palestinian refugee, she learned early the importance of home and meaning of being rooted. She earned her BA in Classics and English from Southern Illinois University, and her MA in English from DePaul University. An alumna of an all-girls school, she had the opportunity to teach in an all-girls Islamic School for many years, and enjoyed the sorority of the environment. She has since taken an extended leave from teaching to pursue her dream of being an author and mother. She spends her time reading, writing, and running races for Team Palestine for PCRF.
